i know i haven't been posting much. i used to be such an internet junkie... but now i hardly bother. i'm either at work, out w/ gopooh/friends, or catching up on TV. the only website i visit now is theknot, and i usually do that from work. my computer's getting a lot of rest. :p my brother quit his job last month and doesn't start his new one until january, so he's at home. he's so lucky -- i wish i had a month off! actually, forget the month off... i just wish i could go to cancun w/ the rest of my family! but between 2 parties and a holiday event at dearborn village w/ my family this weekend, i've been busy. even yesterday, when we were s'posed to go to this dearborn village thing, i was on jeopardy call for admissions, then gopooh and i ended up... at the HOSPITAL. booo. (he had to check on some patients; i just played online.) today of course sucks b/c i'm on call again, but gopooh brought me lunch and hung out w/ me and the intern for a few hours. awwww he's so sweet. :) so i know i haven't been updating much, but things are going well. :)

i ordered my veil last week and had been stalking its shipment ever since. so imagine my surprise when we came home last night and i saw that it was 'delivered' 2 days ago. i ran to the front porch. no veil. i checked the mailbox again. no veil. AUGH!!! i even had gopooh go to our neighbor's house and see if it was there. our street number is 157, and there's a 157 on the next street. since our place is relatively new, when we first moved in we always got their mail and they got ours. randomly, we still get some of their junk mail. so i thought maybe, just maybe, my veil had gone there instead. so gopooh knocked on their door and talked to the lady who answered the door. and get this -- she's a shirley too! haha. but no veil. :( as he was coming home, he saw smthg in the bushes. and as he got closer he realized it looked like a priority mail box... it was my veil! turns out it must've gotten blown away... slipped under the rails on our porch and into the bushes below... and stayed there for 2 days! i'm so glad he found it. it was only $50, but still, i was totally panicking about it. phew.
